Pregnant Women Wear Polyester

Pregnant women are supposed to look frumpy because that seems to be the only choice. Just spent the afternoon looking at maternity wear and apparently, women of my condition have no choice but to wear fabrics that do not breathe. I know. I know. Polyester has come a long way, baby, (I can hear Judy saying that) but I am still unconvinced of its good qualities. Why can't I find a nice everyday top in cotton or wool in a colour that I would normally wear?

Quick inventory of things in my closet I can still wear:
- two skirts (hiked up to under the ribs)
- two pairs of pants
- a handful of stretchy sweaters
- pajamas
- sweat pants
- one pair of maternity jeans.

Situation is getting desperate. I am starting to glance at Jon's side of the closet and it's looking mighty attractive. Must go shopping for clothes until I find something I can wear!
